Carbon Reduction Commitment – The CRC Energy Efficiency Scheme is intended to improve energy efficiency across the private and public sector. All UK organisations with electricity metered half-hourly are required, by law, to participate.

Devised and overseen by the Department for Energy and Climate (DECC) and administered by the Environment Agency, the first Compliance Year started in April 2010.
